Every time when it appears that the smartphone industry has saturated and there is no room for a new entrant, we are surprised by announcement of a new player. After the successful entry of Chinese OEMs and brands in 2014-15, it was appearing that the market has now several strong players – both for online and offline channels and we are going to see a status quo. There were even apprehensions of mergers and acquisitions back then.
